Back on April of 2013 I went with a few buddies of mine to the New York demo night for the SmartThings home automation company. After a successful Kickstarter campaign and a few rounds of funding the platform launched and was actually the best packaged Kickstarter project I have had the pleasure of backing.
Since activating this I have had some fun with the various sensors and monitoring recipes that tie in with the ecosystem of APIs and feeds out in the wild. Really looking forward to tying into the Phillips Hue lights that I am putting throughout the house.
ps. Yes, that box is sitting on top of my Makerbot Replicator 2, but more on that another time. Or you can read previous blog posts to see what I’ve been up to with it.
